Our Credit Union Partners
OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE
We help members find and purchase New or Used vehicles. From the initial contact, we do everything involved with the purchase of a vehicle. Most Brokers are simply brokers. They do not buy and sell used vehicles, and cannot take trade ins. We have been in business for 16 years, and partner have relationships with the best credit unions in Minnesota.
We are more diverse than other brokers, and offer other services that they don’t. A few examples:
- Indirect lending
- Repossession remarketing
- Aftermarket product sales at reduced pricing:
- Complete automobile detailing
NEW CARS:
We use our extensive network of New car dealers to source exactly what the member wants, then negotiate the best price for the member. From there, we will act as a conduit between the dealer, the credit union and the member to arrange financing, and ultimately have the vehicle delivered to the credit union so the member can sign the loan documents as well as the dealership paperwork at one time. The members then drive their new vehicle home.
Used Cars:
Because no two used vehicles are alike, if we are sourcing a used vehicle at one of our network dealerships, we almost always inspect the perspective vehicle prior to the member looking at it, making sure that the quality is accurate for the member. Once that is done, we set up an appointment for the member to meet with our representative at the dealership to test drive the vehicle. If the member decides to purchase the vehicle, we will arrange to have it delivered to the credit union so the member can sign the loan documents as well as the dealership paperwork at one time. The members then drive their new vehicle home.
Also, as a used car dealer, we have a small selection of previously owned vehicle available for sale. Most of these vehicles are traded in by other members, so we have a history of where they have been, and how they have been cared for. Of course, we will have these vehicles delivered to the credit unions for delivery as well.
Trade ins:
Because we are a used car dealer, we can take our members vehicles in on trade. If a member is going to trade in a vehicle, we will actively shop the trade value as a benefit to the member. We will call several sources to get the highest trade value for the trade. This benefits the members because they don’t have to drive all over town having their trade in appraised.
We safeguard our partner credit union’s financing:
From a credit union standpoint, the ability to finance their members loans is their lifeblood. When a member purchases a vehicle at a dealership without our assistance, the dealer will try to steal the credit union’s loan, as well as sell ancillary products at an exorbitant price point, taking advantage of the member. We act as a conduit between the dealer, credit union and member to make the process easy.
When CU Auto is involved, the credit union is guaranteed the loan, as well as gets to offer any ancillary products the member is interested in at a much lower price point, thereby saving the member money.
We offer Remarketing of Repossessed vehicles:
We will take possession, recondition and resell a repossessed vehicle for our credit union partners. We handle all the necessary marketing, titling and reporting necessary to maximize the value of these vehicles.
Indirect lending:
We will manage and process our credit union partners indirect lending system, including access to Dealertrack and RouteOne, which are the most used interfaces when dealers are sending business to lending sources.
